The running joke of fall is that "pumpkin spice latte" season has arrived. While I've never been a fan of sweet drinks, this time of year is also huge for pumpkin in the skincare industry.

Most commonly, pumpkin enzymes are incorporated into facial treatments because they harbor a rich source of nutrients and antioxidants. The enzymes found in pumpkins dissolve dead skin cells, which makes for a great chemical exfoliant. Pumpkin is also full of beta carotene and is a good source of anti-aging vitamin A. Colder weather can make your skin especially dehydrated, and pumpkin nourishes tired or dry skin instantly, giving you a healthy glow anytime your skin is feeling and looking dull. You’ll also find pumpkin treatments in many anti-aging therapies, but you can still enjoy it as a basic skin soother and moisturizer. The nutrients in pumpkin peels can also help with breakouts and acne -- they help soothe and reduce inflammation naturally, helping skin recover from acne-related damage.

Another great fall fruit commonly used in facial treatments is the cranberry -- while small, they are packed full of antioxidents. Cranberries are a type of acidic berries that are rich in vitamin C and believed to contain excellent infection fighting properties. A source of pythochemicals known as condensed tannins; these berries are powerful antioxidant and natural antiseptic with anti-inflammatory effect, making them great for controlling and reducing break outs and acne as they kill off any harmful bacterias. More benefits of cranberry enzymes include the elimination of dead cells, refined pores and balanced oil production, and revitalizing congested, dull skin by eliminating built-up toxins which leads to an overall healthier complexion.

Summer damage can lead to dead cell buildup on your skin which can make it feel rough and look dull making the fall and winter seasons are the perfect time to enhance your facial regimines with these rapid ezyme exfoliation treatments. Incorporating these treatments into your monthly facial regimine guarantees you a young, smooth complexion throughout the year.
